The amount of times I had to listen to Wally + Barnaby’s voices to get them correct is concerning. Also, I forced a friend to Beta Read this, one of the few that is Beta Read, and it’s about gay puppets lol. I don’t even know if The Neighborhood has a park :].
-_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_--_-_-_-_-_-
“Hey Wally! How’s about you and I go on a date tomorrow?” Barnaby questioned as he walked up to Wally, who sat on a stool beside an easel that had a half finished painting of Home on it.
“That sounds like just the most idea Barnaby,” Wally replied after thinking the offer over for a moment, turning his attention to the giant blue dog.
----------------------------------------->
“Ain’t it nice out here?”
“Yes.”
“A man of many words.”
“Who?”
“Don’t mind it Wally.”
The two ‘puppets’ were laying on the grass in the small park that resided in The Neighborhood. The two lay beneath the trees staring up at the sky, and watching the clouds.
“How’s about after this, we go back to my place to eat?” Barnaby offered kindly.
“I think I would enjoy that,” Wally commented, relaxed as he was beside his best friend.
“It’s settled then,”
Barnaby sat up, glancing over at Wally before standing, and reaching a hand out to his companion. Wally took it happily, his hand engulfed by the soft paw of the giant blue dog. The two had known each other for quite some time, and were rather comfortable with each other.
“How about curry?” Barnaby asked, knowing his companions' odd love of warm things.
“That sounds delightful, neighbor!” Wally took the offer happily, as much as he loved Home, the house had a bit of a tendency to be watchful.
The two walked calmly hand in hand to Barnaby’s house, chatting along the way about anything that came to mind. When they arrived, Barnaby opened the door, a gentleman to only one puppet, said puppet walked in happily, sitting down at the island that resided in the kitchen.
“Hope your fine with waitin’, I don’t have anything prepared.”
“That’s quite alright.” Wally was fine with waiting, having already grabbed an apple from a fruit bowl nearby and was rotating it in his hands excitedly.
“Don’t run off with the whole bunch ya hear me?” Barnaby joked, knowing just what his friend was doing without looking at him.
“I don’t like to run anyway,” Wally responded, the sarcasm lost on the puppet as always.
“That's good.”
----------------------------------------->
After the two had eaten they continued chatting until nightfall, with Wally deciding that he would stay with Barnaby till morning. They had a sleepover.

Some of you may never know the pain of liking the less liked character in the most popular fandom ship, and I'm very happy for you.
You may never know the kind of resentment you may one day feel towards the other, more liked, character.
The way it may even start to ruin the ship for you entirely, over time, because it's always, ALWAYS, all about the fandom darling. While your personal favorite is just there to make the other one shine.
Some of you may never know this boiling, impotent, rage you start developing when fandom darling gets more and more love from the fandom, while your personal darling gets more and more used in whichever way the fandom darling needs.
And I'm happy for you.
I hope you will always like the fandom darlings best, I really do. Because otherwise, it can get rough.

If there will be a part two for yandere online friend, once I found out im pregnant, I will cause a miscarriage on purpose and blame him for the lying, the cheating, the drugs, EVERYTHING. Tormenting him for his betrayal, because it’s not fair that he messed around with another girl while I was there for him when his own family wasn’t.
(I know i was aware high school love wasn’t gonna last but i love being petty and holding on grudges brings me joy.) 🥰💅
you're more fucked up than me dawg 😭 but at the same time it's understandable?? In a way?? But then again that isn't any better than the yandere... This will be the first, and last darkfic I will ever write
Tw: self abortion, guilt tripping, toxic relationship, mentioned non-con, this whole fic is a warning in itself, self harming, suicide. readers be warned, dead dove do not eat

🥀no no NO! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!? WHY WOULD YOU RUIN EVERYTHING HE WAS SO CLOSE TO ACCOMPLISHING?? you were supposed to love the baby.. all in all, he goes into hysteria when he sees you on the floor of the bathroom. Blood all over the tiles and toilet
💔calling 911 and breaking down, sobbing uncontrollably as they load you onto the stretcher and go to the hospital. When you wake up, he expected you to call the police or scream for help. But you just.. stared at him? No emotion..
🥀you stayed in the hospital for a week, he stuck to your side like glue. The nurses always commented on how much of a loyal boyfriend you had, but they were met with silence. It unnerved them a bit but they just brushed it off as you processing the miscarriage
💔when Damien took you back to his house, he boarded up the windows and doors. Adding multiple locks all while looking like he was hyperventilating. Images of you bleeding flashing through his head. the doctors said it was a miracle they even managed to save you
🥀he froze when he finally heard you speak for what felt like the first time in weeks.
"this is all your fault. You did this to me."
"d-darling please! Let's not go there.."
"you're a worthless pathetic bastard. I hate you."
💔he slowly goes back into his old destructive habits, cutting his arms and smashing solid objects against his thigh or legs. Making himself feel the pain you must've felt, always crawling back to you. Bloody and bruised, begging to be forgiven
🥀he starts making up stories. Saying the girl pushed herself onto him, or he wasn't thinking straight when it happened. He'd be so unstable you could even manage to get him to off himself if you pushed him farther, taking his money and leaving his bloody corpse in the shitty house he called a home. Did he seriously expect to raise a family here? Pfft, what a weirdo..

just read this snippet in a vanilla fic where character A sneezes and character B unthinkingly lends them their jacket. only, A realizes after the jacket is on that it's feverishly warm, and they lean over and feel B's forehead... 😵‍💫
what lack of self preservation would you need to have to lend someone your jacket so unthinkingly when you're the one with a fever?! also to feel someone's fever through the residual warmth of a clothing article?? the scene will not leave my mind

HI TINN ITS ME PITTY 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️
i was wondering if youre still open for prompts… and if u are can you write about pbss somehow tranported to current mount hua, and everyone is confused af and just watches pbss and divine dragon interact (and maybe argue) with each other
PITTY HELLO ♥✨♥✨♥ yes i'm always open to prompts !!! im literally rotating rotmhs in my head 24/7
this first half was actually born from another prompt by mei on discord but I want to build on it, so dumping it here 👍 HAHAHA
»—————————–✄
The Plum Blossom Sword Saint lets out a ragged breath, his vision rapidly fading. His sword falls from his hand and soon after his body follows.
"...Mount Hua..." he mumbles, aware that the only thing left that awaited him was the cold claim of death.
He dies. And in the next second, he blinks up to a clear sky, the dead bodies that surrounded him gone.
%%%
Dawn had barely broken when an incessant banging against Mount Hua's gates and shouting started and broke the tranquil silence, rousing several disciples.
"OPEN UP!" Someone barks out from the other side. "Fuck. Fuck. Shit. Open this gate right now!!"
Un Am frowns at the lack of manners and respect being shown by the source of the shouting. He reaches the gate and pulls it open. It takes Un Am a bit of effort to ensure that his voice sounded cordial, "Hello, we aren't accepting any visitors this ear—"
Un Am cuts himself off as he takes note of the state of the man in front of him. The man's robes and face were crusted with dried blood despite a lack of any visible injury. That is, if one ignore his lack of an arm.
It still didn't explain the amount of blood he had on his body that was free from any wounds and visible scars.
The man's eyes were bloodshot and trembling. Un Am, even from afar, could tell that there was something deeply wrong with this man. He seemed unconscious of the way he emanated a manic aura; there was a charged sort of energy surrounded him that made an instinctive part of Un Am grip his sword handle in response.
The most notable and unexplainable part of the man, however, was the blood-stained plum blossom embroidered on his chest.
"Who...?" Un Am finds himself unable to react to the man's speed and freezes in place as the man grabs him by the lapels of his robe. He pulls Un Am towards himself and grits out,
"What. Happened. To. My Sect."
%%%
Baek Cheon was quickly ushered into the Sect Leader's residence the moment he returned with a few others from their last excursion to Xi'an.
"What's going on?" He asks.
Elder Un Geom, for a lack of a better word, looked harried. His face twists into a grimace. "It's a bit complicated..."
Baek Cheon doesn't know how he should feel about that response.
Surely, it couldn't be too terrible. After all, their sect was still standing and they did leave Chung Myung behind to stay on Mount Hua as he and the other chosen second-class disciples only had to deliver some goods and tokens to their subsect. Their youngest wouldn't let anything dangerous happen on his watch.
Baek Cheon tries to probe more information. "Before you pulled me away, Baek Sang mentioned something about a guest...?"
"We aren't quite sure of the specifics either, I'm afraid. But the man claims to be one of our ancestors from over a hundred years ago."
"An ancestor? Was he able to verify the claims?"
Un Geom nods. "I've never seen someone weild our plum blossom technique with as much power as he did."
If that was the case, then maybe their supposed ancestor could help them develop and improve their sword techniques even further by teaching them more about the skills that have been lost through time.
"Isn't that a good thing then?"
"It should be, but Chung Myung..."
Ah. Hearing those last three trailing words did not promise anything good.
When they finally opened the door to the Sect Leader's residence, they were greeted to the sight of a soulless Hyun Jong slumped against the wall, a freaked-out Yoon Jong who seemed to be torn between jumping into the fray and throwing himself out the window, and—
"WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO BEAT UP OUR ANCESTOR, YOU BRAT?!"
Their ancestor and Chung Myung pause in their positions as they both turned eerily similar pink gazes towards the two new entrants.
Chung Myung had the end of their ancestor's ponytail pulled towards him and scrunched up in his fists. His knee pressed against the older man's chest and neck while his jaw was unhinged as he was clearly attempting to bite the man's single arm.
Their ancestor in turn had his one hand closed around half of Chung Myung's face, trying to push him away. His legs were wrapped around Chung Myung's lower half in an inescapable hold and he seemed to have been gearing up for a headbutt before Baek Cheon and Un Geom interrupted them.
"You want me to call this brat my ancestor?!" Chung Myung shouts out as he renewed his attempts to bite the man by roughly grabbing onto the base of his ponytail.
"I'm one hundred years older than you!" Their ancestor grits out as he unashamedly bites Chung Myung's arm. "You disrespectful descendant! Back in my time—"
"'Back in my time', my ass!"
"You...!"
Off to the side, their current sect leader lets out a pitiful moan of mental pain. Baek Cheon would comfort him if he didn't feel the same amount of psychic damage as he watches his youngest sajil and ancestor continue their childish scuffle, rolling on the floor and uncaringly biting into each other like they were both five-year olds.
Later on, after tempers have cooled and everyone (read: Chung Myung and their ancestor) had managed to settle down into a tenuous truce, Hyun Jong turns a tired, but respectful nod towards the bruised man, "May we know this ancestor's identity?"
"Hm?" Said man absently rubs against the embroidered plum blossom on his new uniform. "Ah, I supposed you would know me as the Plum Blossom Sword Saint."
They would have expressed their shock and surpise, but they get easily distracted by Chung Myung's mocking scoff as he rolls his eyes in response.

thoughts on finale: entirely serviceable if not eyeroll inducing at some parts and hair-pullingly obtuse at others. i dont like box existing but 1. everyone saw it coming from a mile away and 2. for a show with intentions (in the later stages of its production and writing) to tie up all loose ends and explain everything logically it would make no sense to Not explain box in some capacity and the explanation they did give works fine. i have no issues with box as a character shes cute i liked her interactions with suitcase oomf is obsessed with sinjin drowning it all works out.. buttt it is that second bullet that wears at me like chronic back pain in a more general sense relating to ii. ive talked about it before, its the evolution of ideals with where the writers want to take the show. i feel like ii works best either when its Being goofy (early ii2 is peak) or when its taking itself extremely seriously (ii14 was good), but they try to mesh those two extremes into one being and it does not work whatsoever. you can watch the slider go from one extreme to the other going from season 1 to ii2 finale. Theres really no cure to this, the conditions they evidently worked under of We must make it serious and We cannot retcon past episodes created what we got and While there is so much i can nitpick and a lot of things i dislike about it, when looking at it as a whole i think the final product is.. serviceable. ii's writing is a victim of circumstance, with the circumstance being A passion project stretched across more than a decade of production that (keyly) started when the creators were children. i just wish something ive spent so many hours thinking about and talking about and bonding with others over and creating fanart for had a more solid foundation. i appreciate what it is while simultaneously mourning what couldntve been. i hope that makes sense

Emotionally, 23.5 (episode 10) is like a cheaply made puzzle, where like, the edges are cut roughly, so like, you THINK that you have the right pieces next to each other, but when you smush them in, and they don't fit QUITE smoothly enough, you're like, oh maybe there's another piece, but like, you CAN'T find another piece that works, because like, the piece you have in your hand IS the piece that is the right one for the picture you're making, or like, you THINK it is, so like, you keep smushing the pieces together, and you THINK the puzzle makes sense, but you kinda feel like you have the wrong piece, or worse, you're MISSING A BETTER PIECE, because everything's NOT QUITE JIVING.
I hope this post made as much sense as the emotional journey we attempted to take with the script in this last episode. What the FUCK is this script doing to Ongsa? A little more context, some smoother edges, would be really helpful here!

I think THW's epilogue would work slightly better if Hiccup was a bit older, maybe around Stoick's age. I know the movie pushed the idea of dragons being just instictual animals (as contradictory as it is towards not only the franchise as a whole, but also the film itself), but to me it feels more plausible for Toothless to start forgetting his life with Hiccup after 20+ years rather than 10, if I'm being led to believe they were such an unbreakable bond.
More importantly though, I would've prefered if instead of only Hiccup's family having one last flight; the whole 'gang' was there. While them being an actual friendgroup is more of a RTTE thing (unfortunately), I don't see why everyone else should be excluded, especially Valka. I mean, Astrid got to see her own dragon again. Why couldn't others? Are Hiccup, Astrid and their children the only ones allowed to break the rule? Was Hiccup really the only one to have actual friendship with a dragon?
On an unrelated note, the detail of people forgetting dragons and even claiming they never existed can work - as long as it's meant to interpreted as their existence being forgotten over the course of history, instead of when Hiccup was still alive. Maybe even Berkians and their allies themselves wrote them out to keep the secret safe.

So y’all know Joel and Ellie? Imagine that but with Atreus and Jormungandr! And with more of a sibling relationship and less parent and child.
Basically: zombie apocalypse, Faye died already, and Atreus and Kratos were split up during the initial outbreak. Atreus [15] found freshly [forced] out of college Jormungandr, and since Jorm had nothing better to do, he is now helping Atreus find his father! I think it would be very funny if they found Freya too, I can just imagine her being like “Do you even know how to care for children?” and Jorm responding “No, but I know how to take care of Atreus and that's definitely more difficult.”
If they got a car it would be even more funny! Just a young adult with a teenager in the front with a stone wall of a man and an absolute warrior of a woman in the back lmao

In honor of season 5 I present:
The Samadhi Fire: Chemistry Analysis
The Samadhi Fire has dark red flames, which are obviously only supposed to show us how incredibly hot and inextinguishable they are, but as a chemistry nerd I feel obliged to look more into it.
The Basics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In nature, Red flames are most commonly produced by burning of Lithium (Li). Lithium is an Alkali metal, a group of elements known for burning when touching Oxygen or hydrogen - meaning spontaneous and immediate burns when touching air. And, well, who kept on burning until they literally split the flames? That's right, our boy Red Son.
In The First Ring Princess Iron Fan says that Red Son was a "promising addition to the Demon Bull Family. Too promising". No one predicted the Samadhi Fire, it was spontaneous. like the burning of Lithium. In JTTW they needed an entire fucking ocean to put it out, a terrible idea when we're talking about Alkali metals (that also burn in reaction to water), but. fine. okay. it's an Alkali metal that burns in red, so it's lithium.
The Splitting Ritual
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the ritual, Tripitaka used magic to hold the fire while they separate the fire into three - an act that would obviously be impossible according to science, but we'll let it slide. So assuming this can separate the fire: what would it be separated to? Lithium is an element, you can't just split it. That would cause an atomic explosion. So what is it?
The answer is that it's not pure Lithium - that kind of substance is extremely unstable. the substance burning in the Samadhi fire is a molecule called Lithium Chloride (LiCl), and the ritual was a simple chemical reaction that turned the Lithium Chloride, with a little bit of Copper, to Lithium and Copper Chloride, with a reaction i will explain in the next part.
The Rings And Mei's Ritual
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In her vision, Mei sees three rings, each burning in a different color. in the original JTTW lore the fire is made out of all the elements combined, so that's how i'm going to refer to it. But, like, also scientifically correct.
We have the orange fire, created with Calcium Chloride and representing Fire, mainly with its color.
next is Blue, created either with Alcohol or Copper Chloride and representing water with the molecule shape and type (alcohol is a type of a molecule build, and although water fits this category it is an exception and is NOT considered an alcoholic molecule).
and lastly there's the green fire, which is created with Copper Sulfate and represents earth, because Copper in one of the most common Precious Metals found inside the earth.
The original ritual starts with one Copper chloride ring, one Copper Sulfate ring, one Calcium Sulfate ring, and a big ass Lithium Chloride fire.
Then we have a chemical reaction when Tripitaka uses his magic, and it turns into one Copper Sulfate ring, one Copper Chloride ring, one Calcium Chloride ring and a harmless little Lithium Sulfate that hardly ever set fire.
Mei's ritual is kinda just the opposite, but with a big twist: when Lithium Chloride is created it releases a heat wave much hotter than its regular burning, creating white sparks. In the beginning of the ritual we can literally see a huge flash of light before the fire is created.
Ao Lie And The fourth Ring
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There wasn't supposed to be a fourth ring. Sun Wukong said it clearly. He lost control and Ao Lie had to take the hit so Tripitaka doesn't die, turning himself to the fourth ring. Now, is this chemically possible? Of course not! So what is going on here?
Well, what if Ao Lie used the copper inside his bones and muscles to trap the fire inside a Copper Sulfate "ring", like the green one? He used the chemical reaction of the fire with his body (and probably a lot of magic, too) to make a ring inside of himself, trapping the last bit of fire. That would also explain how Mei has the fourth ring - it's like a defective gene, it's inside her bones. That could be the reason for her dragon form's "fire breathing" even before the ritual happened, she literally has fire in her bones.
Mei's Control Of The Fire
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Mei just gained control over the fire, the flames were red, like with Red Son before. She tried to use the fire like him, with lithium Chloride as her base. But she was afraid of the fire and didn't understand what's happening, so the fire was reckless and couldn't be tamed. It was affected by her feelings, and she simply couldn't control five different parts of the fire at the same time.
"Don't use the fire, Mei. BE the fire". It was only after Red Son told her this that she managed to really bend the fire to her will - because she used the copper inside of her to catch the fire and make it part of her, truly. She discharged the other rings and even the original burning Lithium and used the fire on her own terms, with Copper Sulfate as the base.
Minor spoilers for season 5!
.
.
.
When the Dragon fruit Duo try to seal the Fire Creature Mei loses control, which shouldn't have happened according to this theory. If the fire is inside her bones, she shouldn't lose her ability to control it.
But look at what Red Son tells her (Translation by monkiemacaque on Youtube!): "You evolved with the fire! You didn't completely lose your connection, and never once gave in to its will! You are its master!"
Mei never lost her ability to control the fire, it was still there. The only problem was that it was inaccessible for her - it's like a reflex, it's an irrational response and she can't use it on command. Mei had to learn how to force the fire to obey her will, how to turn her reflexes to rational actions. Like how Red Son used to punch himself to activate the fire.
.
.
.
I hope this was clear and easy to understand, I can try and explain more if not.
I don't think there's much to add, but let me know if i forgot anything!
Only thing I think is worth mentioning is that in some shots the flames are black, which is also impossible because. you can't make black (AKA lack of light) fire (AKA light source).
Also have these parallel screenshots I didn't know what to do with.

I had a dream that began in a white city, like everything was covered in snow. These people came along with shadows only cast on their left side, and their right side was pure white, blending into the background. The fully visible humans around me were scared, and whispered to me to pass them where the shadows arent.
This developed into a dream where this was simply a fact of the world, and everyone lived in fear. Some people were Lefties. They looked human, but were white or slate-black on their left side. It was uncanny, it looked like a character select screen where locked characters are greyed out, like that side of their body only existed to view and was otherwise nonfunctional.
You had to pass them on their right side. You had to always be on their right side. They could appear anywhere, and if you looked at their faces straight on...you "lost"? Just a vague threat of "you werent supposed to do that".
Children were taught from birth that whenever a new person enters the room, cast your eyes to the floor and slowly raise them until you can see enough skin to tell if they're a Lefty. If they are, keep your eyes down, pass them by on the right side, and they'll disperse. If you slip up, and you pass them on the left, and they see you from their functional eye, its over.
They can speak like normal people, but usually a little flatter and more matter-of-fact, like they've never felt the fear everyone has been forced to live in their entire lives. The emotion in their voices and faces is subtle and uncanny. Listening to them, you are so convinced they're as trustworthy as family, but its that strong compulsion that terrifies you. You can feel your defenses dropping.

When Spirits Inspire: Rosemary Brown’s Musical Mediumship
Rosemary Brown’s extraordinary claims of channeling music from the likes of Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy have long fascinated and polarized audiences, sparking a maelstrom of debate at the nexus of creativity, spirituality, and skepticism. On one hand, her alleged ability to produce works reminiscent of the great masters, despite modest musical training, challenges conventional wisdom on the origins of artistic expression. On the other, the lack of empirical evidence to substantiate her claims invites skepticism, underscoring the tension between the human propensity for belief and the rigors of rational inquiry.
At the heart of Brown’s paradox lies the question of creativity’s essence: is artistic expression inherently personal and earthly, or can it transcend mortal boundaries, tapping into a collective, eternal reservoir of creative potential? Proponents of Brown’s claims point to the advanced harmonies and tonality characteristic of the channeled composers’ styles, suggesting a supernormal origin that defies earthly explanation. Conversely, skeptics dismiss the works as either unacknowledged personal talent or fabrication, highlighting the human capacity for self-delusion and the fallibility of perception. Notably, the decision of renowned pianists to record her works lends a degree of credibility to their stylistic authenticity, yet this does not conclusively prove the paranormal aspect of her claims.
The subjective nature of evaluating artistic merit, particularly when authorship is in question, further complicates the debate. Expert opinions on the compositions’ quality are sharply divided, reflecting the intricate dance between technical skill, psychological factors, and the observer’s predispositions. This dichotomy underscores the need for a balanced assessment, one that considers both the compositional nuances and the contextual influences shaping perception. By acknowledging the complexities of human experience, we may better understand the motivations and beliefs underlying Brown’s claims, and indeed, the broader implications of her case.
Brown’s background, marked by adversity, might suggest a predisposition to seeking comfort in spiritualism. However, investigations revealing no evidence of deception or mental aberration, coupled with portrayals of her sincerity and unassuming nature, complicate skeptical viewpoints. This finding highlights the importance of approaching such cases with empathy, recognizing that the human psyche is capable of navigating extraordinary experiences without necessitating deception or pathology. By doing so, we open ourselves to a deeper understanding of the intricate relationships between art, spirituality, and the human experience.
The far-reaching implications of Brown’s story extend beyond the realm of music or her personal life, contributing to fundamental discussions about consciousness and the possibility of life after death. For some, her channeling serves as anecdotal evidence reinforcing the notion of an afterlife, where creative energies persist beyond the mortal coil. Skeptics, conversely, view it as a testament to human creativity and the boundless potential of the human mind, even in the face of adversity. Brown’s case encourages a thoughtful examination of the interplay between belief, creativity, and the human experience, inviting us to reflect on the mysteries surrounding us.
